2004 WAC Champion, pole vault

Rice - 2004: Socred for the Owls at the WAC outdoor championships, taking third in the pole vault, clearing 15-07... Also scored in the javelin, placing sixth... Best javelin throw of the season came at the Bayou Classic with a chuck of 186-05 to finish second... Was victorious in the pole vault at the WAC indoor championships with his mark of 15-05. 2003: Redshirted the outdoor season... Helped the Owls to a second-place team finish at the WAC indoor championships with a sixth-place finish in the pentathlon, totaling 3,203 points... Also placed seventh at the WAC indoor meet in the pole vault, clearing 15-01. 2002: Was the Owls' top finisher in the decathlon at the WAC championships, taking third with 5,611 points... Also placed fifth in the pole vault at the conference championships... Best pole vault mark of the season was 15-00... Finished fifth at the WAC indoor championships in the pentathlon with 3,323 points... Posted a seventh-place finish in the pole vault at the league indoor championships with a vault of 14-01 ½... Best indoor vault of the year was 14-09.

High School - A 2001 cum laude graduate of Strake Jesuit in Houston... Three year letterwinner for coach Michael Kerley and the Crusaders... Recorded the most wins in a single season as well as most points in one season and a single meet at Strake Jesuit... Maintained a 3.5 GPA... Also recruited by Duke, Boston College, Washington University (St. Louis) before signing with the Owls.
