High School
Buck was a member of the Cinco Ranch regional cross country championship team in 2006, and helped his school to a fifth-place finish at the Texas 5A state meet. He was the district 19-5A champion in the 1600-meters and was third at the regional meet. Buck has a personal best of 4:01.15 in the 1500-meters and 4:19.75 in the 1600-meters. He anchored Cinco Ranch to victory in the 4x800 during his senior year's Texas Relays and was 10th in the mile at the Nike Indoor Nationals.
