The Rice men's tennis team will be back in action for the first time in over two weeks when they face Cal-Irvine in a dual match on Tuesday afternoon at San Diego State Tennis Stadium. The dual match opens a slate of action for the Owls in San Diego which also includes a dual with Loyola Marymount on Thursday morning and the 123th Pacific Coast Doubles Championships from Thursday through Sunday.
The Owls (6-4) were ranked 42nd coming into this week's action and have not been in action since they split a double-header with UTSA and Abilene Christian on February 11. UC-Irvine was ranked 54th heading into the week.
The match with LMU will take place on Thursday morning at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club, which is also the host for the doubles championships.
The Owls will be back in action at Jake Hess Tennis Stadium a week from Saturday, when they host San Diego in a 1 p.m. dual match.
