SWC Shootout Final Results

FORT WORTH - Rice University's Michael Nuesslein posted a 6-1, 7-6 straight-set victory over TCU's Max Stevens to finish third in Flight C at the Southwest Conference Shootout hosted this weekend by the Horned Frogs. The tournament wraps up the fall season for the Owls.

Nuesslein was one of three Rice players competing in third place matches against TCU players on Sunday. Jonathan Chang dropped a 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 decision to J.T. Sundling while Andy Wang lost to Will Stein 0-6, 6-3, 6-4.

Rice also had two players advance to consolation finals following opening-round losses. Both Peter Frank and Philipp Seifert lost their matches on Sunday.

Seifert dropped a 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 decision to Texas' Jacoby Lewis while TCU's Orlando Superlano defeated Frank 6-2, 6-1.
