CHOUDRANT, La. – Coming off a pair of top-six finishes to open the spring season in the Houston area, Rice University golf ventures out to Louisiana for the Argent Financial Classic on March 3-4, hosted by Louisiana Tech.
Along with Rice and the host, 11 other teams fill out the field, including Arkansas State, Central Arkansas, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana Monroe, Missouri State, New Orleans, North Texas, Sam Houston State, Southeastern Louisiana, Texas State and UALR. The event was originally scheduled for 54 holes, but was shortened due to weather concerns.
The Owls will begin play on Monday on the eighth through 11th tees in groups with Sam Houston State and Texas State. Competing individually, Joe Beck III (76.50 stroke avg.) will tee off from the 18th hole.
Kevin Reilly, Fr. (72.44 stroke avg.)

The tournament began in 2010 as the LA Tech Bulldog Classic and is now in its fifth consecutive year.
