Meissner Leads Owls at Querencia Cabo Intercollegiate

Cabo, Mexico — Senior Mitchell Meissner tied for 20th-place at the Querencia Cabo Intercollegiate, played at the par-71, 6,898-yard Los Cabos Querencia.

Meissner carded a final round 76 to finish three-over par. It is his fourth top 20 finish of the season and the 11th of his career.

Rice shot 16-over par to finish 29-over in 13th-place. No. 1 Oklahoma State won the tournament at 14-under par, eight strokes in front of No. 13 California. Cal’s Colin Morikawa earned medalist honors at 16-under par, three strokes in front of Oklahoma State’s Matthew Wolff.

Freshman Jake Benson tied for 45th-place at nine-over par after carding a 74. Senior Mario Carmona and freshman Rishi Kejriwal tied for 61st-place at 14-over par after each shooting a 75 and junior Grant Rogers carded an 87 to finish 20-over par in 72nd-place.

Rice returns to the links Monday-Wednesday, Mar. 12-14 for the ORU/SFA Spring Break Challenge in Irving, Texas.
