Wrapped up summer prior to sophomore season by winning the City of Los Angeles 2011 Match Play Tournament ... qualified for match play by finishing eighth in stroke-play qualifying then won five matches on three different municipal courses at the tournament conducted by the City of Los Angeles' Department of Recreation and Parks ... defeated Cal State Northridge golfer Matt Siporin (1 Up) in the championship round ... the day prior to the championship, won back-to-back matches, defeating top seed and University of Kansas golfer Chris Gilbert (2 Up) in the quarterfinals and Maxwell Cohen (2 & 1).
