Dillard was named to the second team, while Clement and Casey received honorable mention recognition. This is the second time in three years that SI.com has recognized Dillard. He was a first-team All America selection in 2006.
Dillard leads the nation with 19 touchdown receptions this season and is the first player in NCAA history to have a pair of seasons with at least 19 (his career high was 21 in 2006). He is sixth in receiving yards (1,224), sixth in yards per game (102.0), tied for eighth with an average of 9.5 points per game and tied for18th with 6.58 catches per game. He set an NCAA record with 59 career touchdown catches and became the 10th receiver in NCAA history to top 4,000 yards in receiving. He also holds the C-USA career mark with 4,052 and became the 13th receiver in NCAA history to record three seasons with at least 1,000 yards receiving.
This is the sixth All America team that has included Dillard this year. He has been first team selection by the Football Writers and CBSSports.com, a second-team selection by Walter Camp and AP, and a third-team honoree by Rivals.com.
Clement, who was named the MVP of Conference USA, set conference career marks for touchdown passes (96) and total touchdowns (120). He leads the nation with 26.3 points per game and is third in total offense (369.4 per game), tied for fourth with 41 touchdown passes ranks fifth with 317.7 yards per game passing and 3,812 passing yards.
Casey was a first-team All C-USA pick and also earned third-team All America status from Rivals.com. He set a conference record with 104 catches this season, which ranks second in the nation. He also ranks second with 8.7 receptions per game and is fifth with 1,217 receiving yards and seventh with 101.4 receiving yards per game
