The eighth season of David Bailiff’s one-hour radio show moves to a new day in 2017 as the weekly review and preview of Rice Football kicks off at noon on Thursday at the Gorgeous Gael Irish Bar (5555 Morningside Drive) in Rice Village.

This will be the third year the Gorgeous Gael has served as the home for the David Bailiff show.

The move was made to accommodate a change in the Owls’ weekly schedule as the players day off has moved from Sunday to Monday because of class schedules. NCAA regulations do not allow schools to schedule activities on off days. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are devoted to longer practices, leaving Thursday as most viable option.

The show will be available live on Stretch Internet as well as the TuneIn app and on delay on SBNation1560 from 7-8 p.m. Thursday night.

Hosted by J.P Heath, the voice of the Owls, "The David Bailiff Show" will take a look back at the previous week’s game while also looking ahead to the Owls' next opponent.

Segments will also feature live interviews with members of Bailiff's coaching staff as well as current Rice players.

Now beginning its eighth year as the Owls' radio broadcast home, SBNation1560 features Rice football broadcasts in addition to Rice coaches shows with Bailiff, men's basketball coach Scott Pera and hall of fame baseball coach Wayne Graham.
