Rice Football fans will find their enhanced and expanded tailgating options available when the Owls open their 2015 campaign on September 5 against the Wagner Seahawks.
“Improving the fan experience at Rice athletic events is a key area of focus for us,” Rice Senior Associate Athletic Director/Chief Revenue Officer Tanner Gardner said. “Using input from thousands of survey responses, focus groups, and one-on-one conversations in the past year, we are excited to roll out a series of fan improvements that will move us towards the world-class game day experience we seek to provide. Enhanced tailgating is just the start.”
Tailgate Owley, the official headquarters of Rice Football pregame activities, is located directly east of Rice Stadium between West Lot 2/3 and the stadium. It features an entertainment zone, Houston area food trucks, a family fun zone and a Main Event area that will feature special pregame performances as well as a Rice Bookstore tent with the latest Rice game gear.
Prime tailgate locations are available for sale this year. Owl fans will have the ability to upgrade their tailgating experiences through several premium options.
The first option features a rooftop deck, TVs, couches, multiple electrical outlets and more, making them perfect for entertaining groups of 20+ people. The second option has multiple size options featuring TVs, electrical outlets and several other exciting features.
Spaces are limited, so make your reservation today! For more information and to book your premium tailgate space, please call the Marketing Department at (713) 348-3094 or email email@example.com.
Tailgate Owley opens 3 hours prior to game time and begins to shut down 15 minutes prior to kickoff so all fans can be in the stadium at game time to cheer on the Owls. Bring your friends, co-workers, and guests for a great college football game-day experience.
In the coming days, fans can look forward to additional announcements on upgrades to the fan experience at Rice Stadium, including new pre-game events, enhanced in-game elements, and new ticketing features.
