With the 2012 college football season opener with UCLA just around the corner, Rice head coach David Bailiff's one-hour radio show kicks off its third season on Monday, August 27 live from Danton's Gulf Coast Seafood Kitchen in Houston.
The show which will air live from 7-8 p.m. (central) is returning for its second season at Danton's and will mark the debut of new Rice play-by-play man J.P. Heath as the host of the show. Monday's show will preview the season opener against the Bruins in addition to interviews with members of the 2012 Owls and past Owl greats.
Fans outside the Houston market can also listen to the show online at www.1560thegame.com.
Now in their second year as the Owls radio broadcast home, 1560 The Game features Rice football and men's basketball broadcasts in addition to Rice coaches shows with Bailiff, men's basketball coach Ben Braun and hall of fame baseball coach Wayne Graham. Additional Rice head coaches will also make periodic appearances on the show.
