Three Football Games Added to TV Broadcast Schedule

July 13, 2012

Three additional Rice football games have been added to the 2012 Conference USA broadcast package with the announcement of the selections by Fox College Sports (FCS).

Rice's Centennial Celebration matchup with UTSA at Rice Stadium has been picked up by FCS, along with road games at Memphis and UTEP. The game at Memphis will kick off at 6 p.m. while the game in El Paso against the Miners has been moved back to a 6:00 (central) kickoff.

With the three additions, Rice is now scheduled to have 10 of its 12 regular season football games broadcast by one of Conference USA's broadcast partners. No official announcement has been made regarding the Owls road opener at Kansas on September 8.

The Owls will open preparations for the 2012 season on Friday, August 3 when the squad members report for the start of fall camp. Season tickets are currently on sale for the 2012 season at the Rice Athletic Ticket Office (713) 522-OWLS.
