After opening the season with three consecutive road games, the Rice Owls will make their 2009 home debut under the lights at Rice Stadium on September 26 when they host Vanderbilt at 7:00.

After the opener with the Commodores is the first to two consecutive home night games for the Owls. Rice will be back under the lights the following week when it hosts the Tulsa Golden Hurricane at 6:30 on October 3. The schedule then switches to 2:30 kickoffs for the final four home games of the season.

The Tulsa game will also mark the Owls 2009 debut on CBS College as the network will broadcast the meeting with the Golden Hurricane for the second consecutive year. CBS College will be back at Rice Stadium the following week when the Owls host Navy at 2:30.

Game times for the Owls four contests not currently set for television are tentative and subject to change to accommodate additional television opportunities as they develop.
