Rice head football coach David Bailiff will lead a group of Owls who will hit the road in late July for a series of events in Texas as part of the 2012 Rice Owls Coaches Caravan.
Bailiff and members of the Athletic Department will hold a series of events at a variety of locations in addition to media sessions over a three-day period.
This year's trek will kick off with an event in San Antonio on July 17, followed by events on Austin (July 18) and Dallas (July 19). The 2012 Caravan will officially end with an event at St. Arnold Brewery in Houston on August 1 that will feature all of the Owls' head coaches.
"We had a great time last year, visiting with so many loyal Owl fans," Rice Director of Athletics Rick Greenspan said. "It's the perfect time to hit the road and share some of the exciting plans we have for this season and for the future of Rice Football."
"I look forward to again hitting the road and spending time with our great fans at each stop along the way," Bailiff noted. "These three cities have been the backbone of our recruiting efforts and fans there are always excited to hear about the progress those recruits have made."
Final details for each appearance will be released later in conjunction with the Rice Alumni Association.
