Letterman's Golf Tournament to be held on April 11

The Rice Owls will wrap up their 2015 Spring Football Drills when they hold their annual Blue-Gray Spring Game on Friday, April 10 at 7 p.m. at Rice Stadium. The Spring Game opens a weekend of activities for the football team and marks the traditional end of activities until the Owls open their training camp in August.

One day later, former Owls will join with other supporters of the program to take part in the annual Lettermen's Golf Tournament, which tee off at noon on Saturday, April 11 at Wildcat Golf Club and the weekend of events concludes on Sunday with the Football Awards Banquet at the Doubletree by Hilton Greenway Plaza Hotel.

Among the awards to be announced at the banquet will be the winner of the George Martin Award as the MVP of the 2014 Owls, the Joe F. Lipscomb Award to the Owls top freshman and the George R. Brown offensive and Jess Neely defensive awards, which honor the top players at various position groups.

The Owls will open their 2015 Spring Drills on Tuesday, March 10 shortly after the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Brian Patterson Sports Performance Center is held at Rice Stadium.
