David Bailiff and his Rice Owls will put the wraps on their spring drills and honor the 13 departing seniors who made history last fall with the school's first trip to a bowl game in 45 years, by hosting the annual Rice University Football Banquet at the Reliant Center on Saturday, April 14.
The banquet will begin 6:00 PM with a silent auction and the dinner served at 7:00 PM. Tickets for the event are $35 and table sponsorships are available.

Reservations are limited and seating will be closed once seating limit has been meet, so call or email today to reserve your seat or table for this year's football banquet.
The event will feature the presentation of the awards that are annually awarded to members of team: George Martin Award (team MVP) ; George R. Brown Offense Awards (top lineman, back and receiver); Jess Neely Defense Awards (top lineman, linebacker and defensive back); Joe F. Lipscomb Award (most outstanding freshman); James W. Glanville Award (excellence in the classroom, athletics and integrity); Bill Ed Daniels Award (greatest teammate in terms of hustle, devotion and attitude); Bloody Joe Davis Award (player who comes back from injury).
The captains for last year's team will also be announced, and the 13 seniors who lead the Owls to the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl will also be honored: Omeke Alikor, Lance Byrd, Drew Clardy, DeJaun Cooper, Andray Downs, Mike Falco, Courtney Gordon, Rolf Krueger, Chad Price, Marcus Rucker, Jared Scruggs, Quinton Smith and William Wood.
Individual tickets to the event at $35 each, and can be purchased on line or by returning this form to the Rice Football Office prior to April 2. Tables are available at three levels of support and can be reserved by returning the form. Seating is limited and tables will be placed by level of support and date of reservation. All net funds from the event will go towards summer school funding.
The banquet will wrap up a flurry of activity for the Owls that day. They will host a Jr. Owls Clinic in the morning and then close out spring practice with the annual Blue-Gary Spring Game at noon at Rice Stadium.
