Rice, who saw 38 players miss time in practice this week due to a virus and began the game without safety J.T. Ibe, saw things get worse as they lost running back Samuel Stewart, defensive end Blain Padgett, defensive tackle Carl Thompson, linebacker Emmanuel Ellerbee, cornerback J.T. Blasingame and offensive lineman Isaiah Edwards.
The Owls will be back in action next week when they host Florida Atlantic on November 5. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN3.
