Returned to the starting lineup vs. UTSA and broke up a pass...Started first two games, but limited to backup duty the next four and then missed NT game because of an injury... Credited with a TFL for loss of four in limited duty vs. ODU.
Took over as a starter down the stretch last fall and delivered consistent play... Started the last five games... Shared a sack vs. Marshall...Credited with first career sack on the opening play of overtime at UAB... Made his first career start vs. NT... Stepped in after Stuart Mouchantaf was hurt vs. UTEP and credited with a career best six tackles, which matched his season total heading into game... Recovered key fumble at goal line vs. UTEP with Rice leading 17-7 late in the second quarter... Set up a 99-yard drive to give Rice a 24-7 lead heading to halftime... Has a career-high nine tackles this year.
Saw time on the defensive line and on special teams before missing the last three games with an injury... Credited with his first career tackle vs. Louisiana Tech and forced his first career fumble vs. Southern Miss to stop a late USM scoring threat.
