Made the most of his return to the field after an injury as a junior, quarterbacking Prestonwood to the 2017 TAPPS Division 1 state title... Named to the TAPPS Division 1 All-State second team after throwing for 4,101 yards and 50 touchdowns while completing 67% of his passes (288/433)... Capture the state crown by rallying from 18 points down in the third quarter to defeat Houston's St. Pius X, 42-41 and reached the finals by avenging a regular season loss to Fort Worth All Saints and fellow Rice signees Andrew Bird and Brendan Harmon... Awarded the Lion's Heart Award... Also lettered twice in baseball... 2017 Homecoming King, National Honor Society, A Honor Roll and ranks in the top 10% of his class...
