Returned to the playing field for the first time in more than a year as a defensive tackle at Southern Miss... Also saw action against Houston, Memphis, Marshall and Tulsa... Credited with his first two career tackles against Marshall.
2006: Opened the season as the Owls' starting tight end and caught his first two career passes before an injury brought his season to a sudden end... Had played in nine games in 2005 without making a catch, but ended that streak with a five-yard catch against Houston... Made his second catch against UCLA.
2005: Played in nine games with seven starts at tight end... Solid blocker.
