The Rice Football team once again hosted members of the Challenger Football organization at Rice Stadium

Looks to build upon a standout junior year that saw him spark the Owls to a five-game winning streak and a berth in the Armed Forces Bowl.

2012
Moved into the Rice season top five in passing (2,209 yards) and total offense (2,876) during a standout junior season... Established career highs across the board and also moved into the career top ten in passing yards (eighth, 3,772), attempts (ninth, 557), completions (fifth, 327), touchdowns (sixth, 26), total offense (seventh, 4,714) and total touchdowns (fifth, 38)... Rushed for 667 yards and scored 11 touchdowns on the ground... 11 rushing touchdowns tied for third on the Rice season list and were one shy of Chase Clement's school record for quarterbacks, set in 2008... ... Ranked fifth in C-USA in total offense, sixth in scoring by touchdown, seventh in passer efficiency and ninth in passing yards per game Threw just five interceptions in 325 attempts and none in his last 81... Earned C-USA Offensive Player of the Week honors in a losing effort vs. Marshall when he rushed for a career-high 153 (second-best total this year for an Owl) and one touchdown and threw for a career-high 314 and three TDs... Efforts combined for 467 yards of total offense, fourth best total in school history... Rallied the Owls from 10 points down in the final four minutes to put them in position to win the game with a 47 yard run to the Marshall 1 yard-line with less than a minute to go, but was injured on the play and did not return to the game... Missed the Houston game the following week and then returned to action at Memphis.

2011
Led the Owls with eight touchdown passes and 1,196 yards of total offense in eight games... Completed his season long pass (51 yards to Turner Petersen) and recorded his season-best rush (27 yards) vs. Memphis... Set career-highs for completions (23), attempts (38), passing yards (260) and total offense (304), while matching his best with three TD passes at Baylor... Saw his streak of 133 consecutive attempts without an interception end with a third quarter pick by Ahmad Dixon.

2010
Won the starting job after a strong spring and solid fall camp, the endured injuries during the middle of the season before bouncing back with a pair of solid performances in the final two games. Made an impressive return to action against ECU, establishing career-bests by hitting on 11 of 15 passes for 220 yards and three touchdowns while rushing 13 times for 93 yards and one touchdown... Connected with Sam McGuffie on a 64-yard scoring pass, the longest scoring toss for the Owls this year... Became the first freshman at Rice to make his college debut as the starting quarterback since Jeremy Hurd against Houston in 2000 when he led the Owls onto the field against Texas... Led the Owls on a 16-play drive in his first series, ending in a field goal to give the Owls a 3-0 lead... Threw a 47-yard TD pass to Randy Kitchens for his first career scoring toss... Connected with Sam McGuffie on a 51-yard TD pass on the game's first play at North Texas... Missed two full games due to an injury sustained against North Texas... Returned to action early against SMU after missing a pair of games, but was injured again and did not return.

2009
Redshirted in the fall... Completed 8-11 for 126 yards and three touchdowns in the Blue-Gray Spring Game.
