Sure-handed receiver and holder on placements for third straight year.

2012
Caught a pair of passes while also handling holding chores on placements in 12 of 13 games... Caught a pass for 12 yards vs. Louisiana Tech and one for 10 yards vs. Houston... Missed the Marshall game with an injury.

2011
Took over holding duties on placements and showed great hands to tee up errant snaps to aid Chris Boswell's school-record tying 17 field goals... Caught four passes on the season... Grabbed a career-best, 25-yard reception to set up a field goal in the Owls' 41-37 Homecoming win over UTEP

2010
Made his first career start against ECU... Matched his career-high with four catches (for 32 yards) against UTEP... Led the Owls with a career-best 57 yards on four catches against SMU... Grabbed three passes for 35 yards vs. Baylor... Picked up his first career catch, a nine-yard reception against Northwestern...Made his collegiate debut against Texas on the same field (Reliant Stadium) where his father, Gary, is the head coach of the Houston Texans... Also saw action as a reserve against North Texas.

2009
Signed with the Owls in 2009, but delayed his enrollment until January, 2010.

Strake Jesuit High School
All-District 18-5A selection for Coach Ron Counter in 2008 as the Crusaders won the district with a 9-2 record and advanced to the second round of the playoffs. Also played baseball at Strake, earning all district honors as a senior designated hitter.

Full Name: Klein Ashton Kubiak... Born: July 1, 1991 at Houston, Texas... Parents: Gary and Rhonda Kubiak...Father is head coach of the Houston Texans and his uncle (David Pierce) is the head baseball coach at Sam Houston State... Both older brothers played football at Colorado State... Klint was a defensive back who completed his eligibility in 2009 and worked as a graduate assistant coach at Texas A&M in 2010 and Klay, a quarterback who missed the most of the 2010 season after an injury and elected to graduate on the spring of 2011.
