2011: Sporting News Freshman All America as a punt returner...Earned C-USA All-Freshman honors from league coaches and Rivals.com as a punt returner... Fourth in C-USA and 21st in the nation with a 10.2 yard average on 16 punt returns despite not assuming the role until the midpoint of the season... Added punt returns to his responsibilities vs. Memphis and responded by tying a school record with eight returns for 121 yards. Horton Nesrta also had set the mark with eight returns against UCLA in 1952... The Owls' record for punt return yardage is 142 by Rex Proctor in 1949 vs. New Mexico... Led the team with six catches for 51 yards at Southern Miss... Fourth on the team with 17 catches and 181 yards receiving.

First-team 2A All State by the Associated Press and District 26-2A MVP as a senior for coach Brad Dumont at Rice Consolidated High School... Finished his senior year with 44 catches for 1, 077 yards and 11 touchdowns... Returned two kickoffs and one punt for a touchdown... Three-time all-district performer... Teamed as a sophomore with Owls transfer QB Taylor Cook in 2007 to lead the Raiders to the 2A state semifinals, and returned there again as a junior....
