The Owls held their second scrimmage of 2013 training camp on Saturday, August 17
Stepped into a major role when called upon last season and delivered with solid play down the stretch of the Owls' drive to the Armed Forces Bowl.
Veteran who completed his recovery from an injury in 2010 by excelling in an expanded role at corner during the season... Finished with a career-high 20 tackles (15 solo), including 2.5 for loss and sharing a sack... Had tackles in 10-of-12 games... Led the team with five special teams... Top tackle game was four vs. SMU (one for loss) when called upon for expanded duty due to injuries.
Has seen action in 11 games on special teams and is tied for sixth on the squad with four special teams tackles (two each vs. Memphis and UTEP).
Moved into the cornerback rotation after a redshirt season and was establishing a role as a kick returning
before a season-ending injury in the fourth week... Saw his season cut short when he suffered a season-ending injury against Baylor... Returned a pair of kickoffs for 40 yards vs. the Bears before his injury.. Racked up 66 yards
on three kickoff returns vs. Northwestern... Saw action as a reserve in the first two games.
