Veteran of the Owls quarterbacking crew who took over as the starter in the final four games of his senior year and led the Owls to a 2-2 finish while continuing to move up the Rice career charts.
Most accurate passer in school history and moved into the top five in most of the Owls career lists (see chart)... Named C-USA Player of the Week as well as one of the Manning Award Stars of the Week after his standout effort vs. UTEP... Smashed his previous career bests while sparking the Owls to a 41-37 Homecoming win over UTEP in his first start of the season... Threw for 405 yards and three TDs while adding 34 yards rushing to finish with 439 yards total offense on the day... Became the third Owl to throw for 400 yards in a game and his 405 yards were the fourth best in school history.... His 439 yards of total offense tied for the sixth best total in school history (Chase Clement has the top six marks)... Threw for 234 yards and a touchdown after relieving Taylor McHargue vs. Tulsa.... Connected with Luke Willson on a 40-yard TD pass... Made his season debut at Southern Miss in relief... Came late at Marshall when McHargue was injured.
Owns the highest career completion percentage in school history, hitting on 61.3% (313 of 511)... Matched his career-best with 11 TD passes, including 10 in his last five games... The ninth Owl to top 3,000 career yards passing... Threw for a career-high 276 yards against SMU to become the 10th quarterback in Rice history to top 2,500 yards in a career... Matched his season-high with 27 completions against the Mustangs... Completed a season-high 27 passes (in 38 attempts for 204 yards) against Baylor... Threw for 211 yards in his first start of the year, vs. Northwestern... Came on against North Texas to lead the Owls to the victory...Threw for 189 yards (12-23) with a touchdown and an interception... Completed three of three passes for 23 yards against Texas.
Completed an even 60% of his passes, the second-best season mark in school history, and finished fifth on the Owls season chart with 162 completions... Tied for eighth with 11 touchdown passes... Threw a career-best four TD passes vs. Tulane to lead the Owls to a Homecoming victory... Posted career-bests with 29 completions, 250 yards and three touchdown passes at SMU... Completed a career-best 69% vs. the Mustangs and has a season mark of 61.8% which would trail only Chase Clement's 66% mark in 2008 in school history... Has thrown for 1,053 yards and 10 touchdowns, while completing 63% of his throws (106 of 168) since he returned to the lineup vs. Navy... Had missed the Vanderbilt and Tulsa games with a shoulder injury sustained late in the Oklahoma State game... Posted bests of 43 attempts and an 80-yard TD pass at ECU... Threw for 242 yards and a pair of scores in his return to the lineup vs. Navy... Threw for 182 yards (on 16 of 28 attempts) and added 42 on the ground at Oklahoma State.... Made his Rice debut in the opener at UAB and threw for his first career touchdown and also rushed for his first career score... Connected with redshirt freshman Luke Willson for a 52-yard scoring strike to extend the Owls' streak of games with at least one TD pass to 22... Made his first career start at Texas Tech.
Sat out the season and worked on the scout squad after transferring to Rice prior to the start of classes.
Played in the season opener against Western Carolina but did not attempt a pass.
