Versatile performer who opened the year at wide receiver and on special teams, then switched to defensive end when injuries thinned the roster and returned to wide receiver at the end of the year... Second on the team with three tackles on kickoffs and was credited with four during his stint on defense... Credited with a pair of assists vs. Houston while at DE... Credited with his first career tackle for loss (9 yards) vs. Southern Miss on a fumbled punt snap.

Bay City High School
District 23-4A Utility Player of the Year for coach Robert Blackmon at Bay City.... Completed 101 of 197 passes for 1,500 yards and 11 touchdowns, rushed for nearly 700 more and seven TD and caught 12 passes for 302 yards and a pair of scores... Top game as a senior was a 40-37 win over Brazosport when he totalled over 500 yards, including throwing for 364 yards with four scores and scored the game-winner with a one-yard run... Finalist for the Marine Corps Elite Warrior of the Year and won the honor for the Houston region... Earned four letters in basketball, track and swimming at Bay City High... Graduated in to 10% of his class(23rd overall).
