Closed out a rock-solid redshirt freshman by being named to USA Today's All-Bowl team for his efforts vs. Air Force in the Armed Forces Bowl... Solidified on of the two interior defensive line questions for the Owls heading into the season, with 20 hurries and finishing with 43 tackles (25 solo), eight tackles for loss, five sacks, forcing one fumble and breaking up a pass... Led all C-USA freshmen and was tied for second nationally among first year players with five sacks... Closed strongly with a TFL in each of the last five, including sacks in four of the last five... Top tackle effort was seven vs. Marshall.
