Chad Bogard is joining the Rice football staff for his first season as Director of Video Operations.
Bogard comes to Rice after seven seasons serving as the Video Director for the Cleveland Browns. Prior to working with the Browns, Bogard was the Video Coordinator at the University of Pittsburgh from 2001-2009, where he supervised team video for each of Pitt's 19 varsity sports.
While at the University of Pittsburgh he received the Big East Conference Video Coordinator of the year twice as a member of the Collegiate Sports Video Association.
Bogard has also served as the Assistant Video Coordinator with the Scottish Claymores in 1997, two seasons with the New Orleans Saints in 1997 and 1998, and two seasons with the Cleveland Browns in 1999 and 2000 before joining the Pitt Panters.
A 1996 graduate of the University of Wisconsin River Falls, Bogard received his degree in Broadcast Journalism. While attending class he started his career as an intern with the Kansas City Chiefs for training camp from 1991-1995 before going to Kansas City in 1996-97 for a full internship season.
Bogard and his wife Renee have four children Kyler (17), Marco (10), Ava (4), Emily (3).
