Rice --Closed out his Rice career with a solid senior season.

2007:Started 11 of 12 games and finished with 18 tackles, including 4.5 for losses... Closed with a rush, recording tackles for loss in each of the last four games... Did not have a tackle for loss in his first three seasons... After missing the Texas game with an injury sustained against Texas Tech, returned to the lineup at Southern Miss and clinched the Owls first win of the year by recovering a fumble in the final minute of the game... One of four game captains for the Nicholls game, credited with four tackles, matching his best output from last year and one shy of his career high of five set in 2005 against UCF.

2006:Saw considerable action at defensive end for the Owls in 2006... Top tackle effort for the year was four stops....Credited with four tackles at Florida State and matched that with four stops at Tulsa... Had a pair of stops against UCF and single tackles against Texas, Army, UAB and SMU....honors candidate for his work in the classroom, Cary has a 3.39 GPA in Kinesiology.

2005: Played in 10 games with two starts to earn his first letter... Credited with 21 tackles (12 primary)... Had a career-best five stops against UCF... Also had one pass deflection against the Knights... Named an Arthur Ashe Scholar-Athlete.

2004: Played in eight games but did not letter... Had six tackles (four primary) on the season... Credited with a career-high four tackles (three primary) in the Owls' win over SMU... Named academic all-WAC and was a WAC scholar-athlete.

2003: Redshirt.

High School -- 2003 graduate of Palestine High in east Texas... Third-team all state in Class 4A for coach Jeff Harrell... First-team all-District 14-4A and all-east Texas, as well as earning a spot in Who's Who Among American High School Athletes... Selected to Dave Campbell's Super Team in Texas Football and to the Prep Star all-region squad... Led the Wildcats to a 9-3 record and the school's first playoff appearance in eight years, winning a bi-district championship... Anchored the state's number-three ranked defense in points allowed... Also competed in basketball and track for the Wildcats... Honor roll student at PHS who is listed in Who's Who Among American High School Students... Active in student government and member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes... Plans to major in managerial studies.
