Picked off his third pass of season and 11th of his career vs. UTEP... 11 interceptions is tied for fourth in school history... Freshman All-America in 2011 whose season was cut short by an injury, but returned to form in the Armed Forces Bowl... Credited with five tackles in his return to the field... Picked off two passes at Kansas to increase his career total to eight... Second interception late in the fourth quarter set the Owls up near midfield and in position for Chris Boswell's game-winning field goal... Tied for sixth nationally in interceptions and 14th in passes defended... Lead all FBS freshmen with his six interceptions and second in passes defended... All of his interceptions came in the last nine games after playing role expanded due an injury to Philip Gaines... Callahan intercepted passes in three consecutive games (four total) before being shut out in the final two games... Over those last four games, he had a total of 12 passes thrown his way, picking off three, breaking up four others and two fell incomplete. One of the three completions came on fourth down, and Callahan made the tackle short of the first down marker to turn the ball over to Rice... Six interceptions were the most for an Owl since Dan Dawson matched the school record of seven in 2000... His his pick of Case Keenum was only the third of the year off the Houston QB... Matched his career-high with five tackles vs. Houston.... Credited with a season-high five tackles vs. Tulsa and also matched his season high with a pair of PBUs... Made his first career start vs. Memphis... Became the first Owl since Brandon King in 2008 to pick off a pair of passes with his first two career interceptions at Southern Miss... Made his debut against Texas... Credited with his first career tackle vs. Purdue while also returning his first two career punts for a total of 15 yards (long of 10).
