One of eight true freshmen to play in 2012... Rushed for 106 yards on 34 carries and caught three passes for 18 yards... Top rushing effort was 53 yards on 11 carries vs. UTSA... Caught all three passes intended for him vs. Louisiana Tech.

All-District 12 5A selection as both a junior and senior for coach Jack Welch at Copperas Cove... Hamilton ran for 1,505 yards, averaged 7.6 per carry and scored 26 touchdowns as a senior to earn a place on the Texas Sportswriters All-State honorable mention list ...
