2006: Started all 13 games, earning Honorable Mention All C-USA by the league's coaches... Highlight moment of the year came late in the UAB game when he recovered a fumble by Kris Guyton with 19 seconds left at the UAB 18 after Guyton had apparently thwarted the Owls last-gasp drive with an interception... Two plays later, Chase Clement hit Jarett Dillard with a TD pass with three seconds left to give the Owls the win... Barber was awarded a game ball for his recovery.... Honors candidate for his work in the classroom as well, posting a 3.47 GPA in Kinesiology and Managerial Studies... Named one of two Rice Scholar-Athletes for Football ... Football representative on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and a member of the Student Owl Club.

Led the team to a 6-6 record and Division I regional semifinals as a senior tackle in 2002... Also helped the Mustangs to a 7-4 ledger and bi-district playoff appearance as junior...
