Full Broadcast Slate, Home Game Times Announced

Rice will play up to nine televised games during the regular season in 2014-15.

IRVING, Texas – Conference USA announced its full slate of televised games, including four contests for Rice University men’s basketball during league play, on Tuesday. The Owls, who will play up to nine televised games during the regular season, also announced tip-off times for all 14 home games at Tudor Fieldhouse for the 2014-15 campaign.

In addition to nationally-televised non-conference road games at Oregon State (Pac-12 Network) in the season opener on Nov. 14 and Texas (Longhorn Network) on Dec. 29, Rice will play in up to three games on CBS Sports Network at the Great Alaska Shootout in November. The Owls tip off the event against Mercer on Nov. 27 on CBSSN.

In C-USA action, Rice will compete in four televised games on American Sports Network (ASN), which includes FOX, ABC, CBS, MyTV, CW, NBC, Univision and Azteca affiliates in 78 markets nationwide.

The televised league slate begins with the Owls’ Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015 home game against UTEP, set for 2:30 p.m. CT. Rice then concludes that home stand the following Saturday, Jan. 10, against North Texas at 2 p.m. The squad’s return visit to the Mean Green at the end of the month is set for a 7 p.m. tip-off on ASN on Jan. 31 and Rice wraps up the regular season broadcast slate on Feb. 19 at FIU with a 7 p.m. CT start on ASN.

ASN will also broadcast the opening round and quarterfinals of the 2015 Conference USA Championship on March 11-12 from Birmingham, Ala. The March 13 semifinal tilts will air on CBS Sports Network and Fox Sports 1 will carry the league title game on March 14 at 1:30 p.m. CT.


 

 

With the exception of the Owls’ Dec. 18 game against St. Thomas at 11:30 a.m., Rice will tip off its remaining home games at 7 p.m.
