Men's Basketball Schedule

Conference USA announced the addition of four televised Rice University men’s basketball contests, including a nationally-televised home game against Harvard and two league matchups on Tuesday morning. The games join a pair of previously-slated broadcasts for the Owls in 2013-14.

The televised portion of Rice’s schedule opens on Friday, Nov. 15 with a trip to Texas A&M for an 8 p.m. game on Fox Sports Net. The Owls then face off against cross-town rival Houston on Saturday, Dec. 21 at the Toyota Center. The 3:30 p.m. game will air on Comcast Sports Southeast as part of the Lone Star Showcase.

On Monday, Dec. 30, Rice faces off with Texas in Austin on the Longhorn Network in a 1 p.m. contest. The Owls then play a third-straight televised game when they welcome Harvard to Tudor Fieldhouse on Saturday, Jan. 4. The game will be televised on CBS Sports Network and moves from its original afternoon tip-off to a 7 p.m. start time.

Rice plays on CSS two more times in the conference season, beginning with a visit to league newcomer UTSA at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30. The Owls then host Tulsa at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8 on the network.

Preparations for the 2013-14 campaign officially begin on Saturday, Sept. 28 as the Owls host their first practice leading into the season. Rice opens the season on Nov. 9 against St. Thomas at 2 p.m. in Tudor Fieldhouse.
