HOUSTON — Junior Connor Cashaw was named Third Team All-Conference USA by College Sports Madness, its staff announced Thursday morning.
Cashaw was fourth on the team in scoring and second in rebounding last year, averaging 8.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. He also connected on 44.4% from the field and 37.4% from three.
For his career, the Lincolnshire, Ill., native is averaging 8.2 points and 4.9 rebounds. Cashaw is 12th in school history in three-pointer field goal percentage (38.1%) and 27th in three-pointers made (82).
Rice opens the season November 4 when it hosts Wayland Baptist at 7 p.m. in an exhibition game. The regular season begins November 10 against Eastern Kentucky at 7 p.m.
