ASN to Televise Seven Men's Basketball Games in 2015-16

HOUSTON-- Seven Rice men's basketball games will be televised by the American Sports Network during the 2015-16 season, Conference USA announced Thursday afternoon.

The Owls begin their ASN schedule by opening their home slate on Nov. 19 against Pac-12 foe Oregon State at 8 p.m. CT. A week later, Rice will host Lamar as part of the Roundball Showcase on Nov. 25 at 8 p.m.

Rice opens its Conference USA schedule on ASN on Jan. 1 at UTEP (8 p.m. CT). It will then televise the Jan. 9 match-up at North Texas (1 p.m.). A month later, ASN will televise the Owls' game at NIT semifinalist Old Dominion on Feb. 13 (1 p.m.).

ASN will then televise two home games, the Feb. 20 game against FIU and the Mar. 5 season finale versus Old Dominion. Both games are scheduled for 1 p.m.

ASN will also televise the first three rounds of the Conference USA Tournament, held for the second straight year in Birmingham, Ala., Mar. 8-12.

Rice will have 10 games televised on the year, joining three previously announced games: Nov. 13 at Cal (Pac-12 Network; 10:30 p.m.), Dec. 19 at New Mexico (ROOT Sports; 7 p.m.) and Jan. 21 at UAB (CBS Sports Network; 8:30 p.m.)
