HOUSTON, Texas - Rice University men’s basketball hosts UTEP on Saturday at Tudor Fieldhouse. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. against the Miners.
It is the second meeting between the teams this season after the Miners (15-12, 8-5) pulled out a 65-53 win in El Paso in early February. Tamir Jackson led Rice with 12 points in the game, while Max Guercy added 11 and Austin Ramljak also scored in double figures with 10 points.
The Owls (5-22, 1-12) are home for one game, but all three of Rice’s remaining regular season games are in Houston.
Rice traveled to SMU earlier this week and put up a strong second-half effort to attempt to overcome foul trouble, but ultimately fell short in a 67-55 setback against the Mustangs.
