HOUSTON, Texas – Rice University men’s basketball’s March 2 game against UTEP will be played at 1 p.m. to avoid a schedule conflict.

The move will allow Houston-area fans to attend both the basketball game and the baseball team’s 7 p.m. contest against Texas A&M in the Houston College Classic.

The game was originally slated for a 7 p.m. tipoff at Tudor Fieldhouse in the Owls’ second to last home game of the season. Rice swept the season series against the Miners last season, including a tight 77-75 home win.
