Ryan Hennick is in his second season as events coordinator for the Rice University basketball team. Hennick joined the Rice staff from the University of Arizona where he served as a student manager while an undergraduate and went on to serve as and administrative assistant to coaches Lute Olson and Kevin O'Neill.

During his last year at Arizona, Hennick was the recruiting/program coordinator in addition to working with O'Neil. He was responsible for coordinating mail outs to recruits and maintaining a recruiting data base.

Hennick's responsibilities with the Arizona basketball program grew from the time he joined the Wildcat staff in 2003. In addition to managerial responsibilities he added recruiting and administrative duties during his tenure.

During the summer months while at Arizona, Hennick gained valuable experience staffing and directing camps and tournaments.

For three years he served as tournament director as well as a statistician and scorekeeper for the Arizona Cactus Classic AAU Tournament. He also spent three summers serving as assistant camp director of the Lute Olson Basketball Camp.

Hennick's camp experience also stretches beyond the state of Arizona's borders. He served as co-camp director of the Nike Power Factory Basketball Camp held in Shenyang, China during the summer of 2007. He was also an administrative assistant, coach and instructor at the famed Five-Star Basketball Camps both in 2006 and 2008.

Hennick earned a bachelor of arts degree in communications from the University of Arizona in 2006.
