Owl fans! Sign-up for the 2013 edition of bOWLmaha, a unique event on October 6 (Sun.) that combines support for the storied Rice baseball program and pin-crashing fun with friends on the best bowling lanes in town. The bOWLmaha tournament is from 6 pm to 8 pm at Bowlmor Houston. The event will feature six-person bowling teams comprised of four (4) registered entrants with two (2) celebrity bowlers – comprised of one current Owl baseball player and one Owl “legend.” Each team (or team captain) will draft their celebrity Owl teammates on Sept. 30. (For a complete outline of the celebrity Owl draft, please download the event registration form at the above link. Signing-up early with a generous donation is the key to a prime draft position!)
Awards will be given for the highest scoring team, the highest scoring individual, the highest scoring player, the highest scoring legend and finally the lowest scoring team.
In the two-hour duration of the event, each team will bowl up to two games. The total number of pins retired during that time frame determines the winners. Bumpers and other bowling mulligans will be available for purchase during the tournament. We are limited to 32 teams so claim your space early!
Tournament Sponsors $2,500
This includes two complementary foursomes, recognition in the program, a signed baseball and a photo with Head Coach Wayne Graham and signage at registration.
Lane Sponsors ($150)
This includes signage on your lane, recognition in the program and a sponsor gift.
Student Sponsors ($400)
If you are not interested in bowling, for $400 you can pay the entry for a team of students from one of the Rice Colleges. This is great for those with affiliations to a Rice College who want to promote camaraderie between our players and non-student athletes. We can recruit the non-student athletes for you if need be and will attempt to pair students and players from the same colleges together.
