Rice baseball will offer fans a one of a kind opportunity to have a photograph taken with two of the city's most iconic sports trophies when they host the Houston Cougars at Reckling Park on March 27 as part of Rice Baseball's "Champions Night".
Houston Astros President Reid Ryan will be on hand to throw out the first pitch, while before the game fans with a ticket to the game will have a chance to take photos with the Commissioner's Trophy, symbolic of the Astros win in the 2017 World Series, and the Owls 2003 College World Series Championship trophy.
The trophies will be available for photos before the game in Reckling Park's latest upgrade, The Roost, which is located along the rightfield line.
The game will be the second of three between the crosstown rivals and the middle game of the annual Silver Glove series. Rice recaptured the traveling trophy last year by taking two of three from the Cougars to capture the trophy for the 16th time since it was created in 1998.
Tickets for the game start at $15 and can be purchased in advance at the Rice Athletics Ticket Office or online.
