In an overall evaluation of Division I baseball programs across the nation, USAToday-College Factual recently ranked Rice as No. 5 overall. A wide range of criteria was used in the evaluation, including “athletic competitiveness, academic quality, return on investment and leadership.”
Under the direction of head coach Wayne Graham, Rice Baseball has won or shared a conference regular season or tournament title in each of the last 20-straight years. The program has made the NCAA Tournament a total of 21-straight years, the fourth-longest active streak in the nation.
The Rice Owls (6-6) next host former conference rival East Carolina at Reckling Park in a three-game weekend series March 11-13. Game times vs. the Pirates (8-3) are set for 6 pm Friday, 2 pm Saturday and 12:30 pm on Sunday.
