Pups in the Park Highlights Upcoming Baseball Promotions

March 5, 2015

After a week of action on the road, the Rice Owls baseball team returns home to Reckling Park for five games from March 10-15 packed with special promotional activities, culminating with the Owls first-ever Pups in the Park Day on Sunday, March 15 when the Owls wrap up their series with Louisiana Tech.

Rice and the Houston Humane Society are joining together to provide baseball fans a chance to bring their canine pets to Reckling Park and enjoy the game from the leftfield hill for the finale against the Bulldogs on March 15. The HHS will have a special giveaway item for the first 150 pups in attendance and will also host pet adoptions during the game. Fans are encouraged to register online in advance, using the promotional code "pups" to register. Additional details and guidelines for Pups in the Park are outlined below and also on the Rice Promotions Page on RiceOwls.com.

The Owls return to the familiar surroundings of Reckling Park on Tuesday, March 10 when they host Lamar at 6:30 on Salvation Army Fellowship Day. Fans are asked to bring a new toy to the game that night to support the Salvation Army's Toy Drive. All toys donated will be distributed to in need children in the Houston area. In addition, fans can register for a chance to win a free weekend stay at the Wyndham Houston by registering at the Wyndham display on the concourse as part of Windham Night. Tuesday's game is also Taco Tuesday, which means fans will be able to enjoy tacos from the concession stand for just $3.

The following night when the Owls welcome Texas State to Reckling, fans will be able to enjoy two hot dogs for just $2.
