The Owls opened the 2017 home schedule by hosting Dallas Baptist on February 21

At Rice --
2017: Compiled 9.2 innings over seven appearances... Made two starts, vs. Texas State and Lamar... Pitched a season high 3.0 innings at Texas State… Posted a season-high three strikeouts against Dallas Baptist.

2016: Conference USA Academic Honor Roll; Pitched in nine games, all out of the bullpen (and made ten appearances overall)... Recorded first career save with a sensational 3.0-inning outing against state foe and eventual NCAA Regional participant Dallas Baptist... Fired three scoreless frames with a career-high five strikeouts and no walks against DBU... Six of nine games to pitch were against non-conference opponents... Made Rice debut the opening weekend of the season with a scoreless frame against eventual College World Series runner-up Arizona... Threw 2.0 innings against SEC foe Arkansas in a game played downtown at Minute Maid Park... Showed versatility and unselfishness for the team by appearing in one game as a pinch-runner... Pinch ran at second base for the injured Connor Teykl in the top of the 15th inning of tight C-USA road game at Louisiana Tech... Played in the California Collegiate League (Neptune Beach) over the summer... 2014-2015: Conference USA All-Academic Team in 2015... Did not see game action in first two seasons with the program... Worked hard to join his teammates for the 2015 fall training program, where he continued his progress to help the Owls as a right-handed pitcher.

High School -- A 2013 graduate of Ball High School in Galveston, Tex.... Four-year varsity starter... Three-time all-District 24-4A selection... Two-time All-Galveston County selection and two-time Houston Area Baseball Coaches Association all-star... Served two seasons as the team captain and helped the Tornados win two District 24-4A titles... Helped squad go 17-8 and reach the 4A regional quaterfinals... Went 4-3 with a save while maintaining a 2.81 ERA in 32.1 innings of mound work as a junior... Hit .329 with 23 RBI and 21 runs scored in 35 games to help the Tors reach the bi-district playoffs in 2012... Coached by Steve Hecker.
