Rice -- 2013: Served as situational specialist against left-handed hitters, totaling 2.1 innings (seven outs) in seven appearances... Finished with five strikeouts in the 2.1 frames, an eye-opening average of 19.3 strikeouts per 9.0 innings... Struck out the only batter he faced in three of his seven outings... Needed just two pitches to induce a double-play grounder in the home victory over Lamar (May 1)... Held all opposing hitters to a composite .250 batting average...
