High School - A 2016 graduate of Wylie High School in Abilene, Texas... Helped the Bulldogs' baseball team storm to the 4A state championship with a final overall record of 32-3... Coached by Clay Martin... Senior year accolades included second team All-America by MaxPreps, the 4A Player of the Year by the Texas Sports Writers Association, first team all-state by the Texas H.S. Coaches Association, and MVP of the 4A state tournament... Went 12-0 on the mound with a 1.01 ERA, and hit .491 with three homers in 2016... Was named the District 6-4A Most Valuable Player as a junior in 2015 after leading the Bulldogs to a 28-6 record and No. 3 ranking in the state... District pitcher of the year as a sophomore, and also a member of Team America that played in the Dominican Republic in 2014... Played summer ball for the Fort Worth Cats 17u White, earning 2016 Rawlings-Perfect Game Honorable Mention All-American... Second team All Texas Region by Perfect Game, ranked as the No. 34 left-handed pitcher in the state... Member of the National Honor Society... Named to the WHS Honor Roll after maintaining a 3.9 grade point average.
