At Rice --
2016: Conference USA Academic Honor Roll; Played in 51 games with 44 starts in the outfield... Made 34 starts in left field and ten in right (when Charlie Warren was sidelined)... Tied for second on the team in home runs (4) and tied for third in RBI (27), all while hitting in every spot in the batting order except cleanup... Most starts were as the No. 6 hitter (17 times), and even batted leadoff in the 8-4 home win over Texas State (where he went a career-best 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored)... Reached base at a .351 pace (13-for-37) when leading off an inning... Collected two or more hits in a game eight times... Longest hitting streak was seven games, with a 10-game streak of reaching base... Battled back from a .202 start to hit a steady .270 (17-of-63) over the team's final 30 games of the season, including the program's first grand slam since 2014 (John Clay Reeves) in the opening game of the C-USA series vs. Western Kentucky... Went 4-for-6 when batting with the bases-loaded... Hit .298 when batting with runners in scoring position... Drove-in two or more runs in a game six different times, which tied for the fourth-most multi-RBI games on the team... Shared the team lead with seven RBI during the Owls' five-game run in the C-USA Tournament (and had a chance to get eighth RBI on the dramatic last play of the game that ended with a close tag at the plate)... Strong on the base-paths, finishing fourth on the team in runs (32) and tying for the team lead in stolen base percentage (.717, converting on 5-of-7 attempts)... Scored the game-tying run in the bottom of the seventh inning in the second game of the season against eventual College World Series runner-up Arizona after pinch-running for Connor Teykl... Appeared twice as pinch runner, twice as a pinch hitter, twice as a defensive replacement in the outfield, and once as the new designated hitter... Hit a combined .444 (4-of-9) in the seven games off the bench... Batted second in the lineup and collected three hits while reaching base four times in five plate appearances in the November victory over Cuban professional team Artemisa.

2015: Conference USA Academic Honor Roll; Played in 22 games with one start in right field... Started the finale of the C-USA series at Charlotte (March 8)... Finished second on the team in games off the bench (21)... Made 11 appearances entering the game as a pinch runner, five as a pinch hitter and five as a defensive substitute in the outfield (playing left, center and right at least one time each)... Remained in the game as an outfielder after all five pinch hit appearances (three times in left and twice in right)... Stayed in to play left field after pinch-hitting against Southern Miss and threw out a runner attempting to stretch a single into a double... Scored five of his six runs after entering as a pinch-runner... Sprinted home with the game-tying score in the bottom of the ninth inning in the middle game of the C-USA series against Louisiana Tech... Tallied first career RBI with a sacrifice fly in the opener of the league set at Old Dominion.

2014: Played in four games in first season of Division I baseball... Made three pinch-hit appearances and served as a pinch-runner one time... Pinch-ran for John Clay Reeves in the bottom of the eleventh inning of a key Conference USA game against UAB and scored the game-winning run to help the Owls clinch the weekend series (which Rice went on to sweep all three games)... Made collegiate debut as a pinch-hitter at C-USA foe Middle Tennessee (March 30)... Pinch hit against eventual College World Series participant Texas, and remained in the game to play right field (his only appearance at a defensive position all season)... Drew a walk in final pinch hit appearance at Lamar (April 15).

High School -- A 2013 graduate of Brenham High School in Brenham, Texas... Two year varsity starter where he had a .465 career batting average and 14 home runs.... Coached by Lanny Williams... First team all-state honoree who helped lead the team to a 23-9 record and to the area round of the 4A Region III playoffs as a senior in 2013... Two-time all-Greater Houston and all-District 18-4A selection... Earned Louisville Slugger Honorable Mention All-America as a junior in 2012 after leading the Cubs to a 25-11 record, the district championship, and to the final four of the 4A state tournament as the Region III champions... All-Brazos Valley honoree who maintained a .667 slugging percentage with 33 runs scored and 23 RBI in 33 games played.
