One of three former College Park High School Cavaliers, along with Michael Aquino and John Simms, to join the Owls in 2010.

Wayne Graham said -- "Keenan looks much-improved, and he can play any outfield position. He had a good summer in the Valley League. He's a good ballplayer."

At Rice --2012: Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll; Played in 27 games with six starts, including four in left field and two as the designated hitter (usually against right-handed pitchers)... The 21 games played coming off the bench were the most of any Owl... Hit .370 in the second half of the season to raise his average 93 points and finish at .304... Thrived as a pinch-hitter, going 5-for-9 (.556) with a double and a walk in a team-leading 10 pinch-hitting assignments... Made seven appearances as the new DH, three as an outfield substitute, and was one of just three Owls called-on to pinch-run (one time, in which he did his job and scored a run)... Reached base 4-of-11 times (.364) when leading-off an inning... Batted .368 (7-of-19) against Conference USA opponents in the regular season, and was 2-for-4 at the C-USA Tournament... Went 5-for-10 with a .615 on-base percentage in games against nationally-ranked opponents... Collected two hits in games against Grambling and Tulane... After the two-hit game at Tulane, he started the next day against the Green Wave and drew a pair of walks while batting second in the lineup... Registered the team's fifth-best on-base percentage (.385) for Owls who had his same number of at bats (46)... Converted on 3-of-4 stolen base attempts... Played for the Haymarket Senators in the Valley League over the summer... 2011: All Silver Glove Series honoree for the annual series against crosstown rival Houston; Played in 60 of the team's 63 games, including 53 starts in first season at the Division I level... Finished sixth on the team in starts... Made 49 starts in the outfield (40 in left, eight in right and one in center)... Started twice at second base and twice as the designated hitter, with both DH starts in the very first series of the year against Stanford (including Opening Day)... Forty-six starts were as the leadoff batter, a spot he had essentially locked-up the second half of the season... Batted .296 over the Owls' last 30 games to raise his average 23 points... Hit a steady .284 in the No. 1 spot in the order and reached base at a .438 pace when leading-off an inning... Average was .288 against the talented teams that went on to play in the NCAA Tournament... "Night Owl who hit 89 points higher in night games (.323) than day games (.234)... Batted .357 and scored four times in the season-long five-game Silver Glove Series against crosstown rival Houston... Recorded a career-high three hits in the first meeting against Houston, and later matched that total in the final home against Memphis... Collected 14 games with two or more hits... Maintained a career-best 10-game hitting streak that was tied for the fourth-longest on the team... Hit lone home run of the season in the NCAA Tournament against eventual College World Series participant California... Drove-in a career-best four runs in the finale against Louisiana Tech, and had two or RBI in a game four times... Finished second on the team in walks (31)... Drew a career-high three walks in the second Silver Glove game against Houston... Tied for second on the team with six steals, converting on 6-of-7 attempts... Fourth on the squad with seven sacrifice bunts... Recorded defensive assists from two different outfield positions - from left field against Louisiana Tech and from right field against Marshall... Made a dramatic, game-saving diving catch in left field in the C-USA Championship Final against Houston... Career-high put outs in a single game was five against Baylor in the NCAA Tournament... Played in the Alaska League (Anchorage) over the summer.
