At Rice -
2017: Worked his way into ten appearances... Struck out nine batters in 6.1 total innings (an average of 12.8 batters per 9.0 IP)... Fanned a career-high three batters in a season-long 1.1 innings against national power Dallas Baptist... Held opposing hitters to a .125 batting average when there two outs already recorded in the inning.

2016: Conference USA Academic Medalist; C-USA Academic Honor Roll; Made three career appearances on the mound in first collegiate season, the first of which though was not until May 17 against crosstown foe Houston... Each of the three outings were away from Reckling Park... No decisions, did not walk a batter, nor get charged with a run in a total of 3.1 innings... Fired a career-long 2.1 shutout innings on the road at heavy-hitting Louisiana Tech... Made his final appearance of the season against the same Bulldogs team a week later in an elimination game in the C-USA Tournament, where he recorded his first career strikeout... Played in the California Collegiate League (Neptune Beach) over the summer.

High School -- Selected in the 39th round of the Major League Draft by the Colorado Rockies... Salutatorian of Regis Jesuit High School in Aurora, Colorado... Three-year varsity starter/letterman for the baseball team under head coach Matt Darr... Helped the Raiders finish fifth in the state tournament in senior year, and as the state runner-up in junior season of 2014... Second team all-state selection in 2015... Two-time All-City (greater Denver area) and all-conference honoree... Rated as the top high school pitcher in the state, and the No. 4 player overall, by Prep Baseball Report in the fall of 2014... Finished prep career with a 14-7 overall record, 132 strikeouts, and a 1.78 career ERA (in an unfriendly altitude for pitchers)... Maintained a 4.54 grade point average (weighted for advanced placement courses) on the way to being named a National AP Scholar... Member of the National Honor Society and National Merit Commended... Academic All-State selection... Played with fellow rookie Owl Ford Proctor on the Capitalists in the California Collegiate League over the summer of 2015.
