Batted .385 with a .585 slugging percentage and .437 on-base average as a senior in 2011 to help the Tornados reach the 4A Region III bi-district playoffs for the first time in eight years... Personal -- Full name: Austin Michael Orewiler. Born: May 18, 1993 in Tiffin, Ohio. Parents: Ryan and Katherine Orewiler of Galveston. Chose to attend Rice over Dartmouth and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Worked as a volunteer with a youth baseball team and coached a little league team that won the East Texas championship.
