At Rice -- 2014: Put together a solid first competitive season with 12 appearances, all in relief... Maintained a 2.35 ERA and a 1.11 WHIP in 15.1 innings... Held all opponents to a .200 batting average... Made collegiate debut in the finale of the Purdue series and fired a scoreless ninth inning... Pitched ten days later on the road at eventual NCAA Regional participant Sam Houston State and pitched a scoreless ninth to earn first career save... Saw action in all three games of the opening Conference USA series of the season vs. an Old Dominion team that went on to play in the NCAA Tournament... Winning pitcher in the 17-inning marathon second game of the series, before coming back to pitch in the finale that also went extra innings... Posted a career-high three strikeouts in 2.0 shutout innings on the road at Lamar... Maintained a 2.2-to-1 strikeouts-to-walks ratio for the full season... Pitched a career-long 3.0 shutout frames against Texas A&M, followed by another 2.1 scoreless innings in the finale vs. Houston...
